The General Scholarship is designed to support accomplished seniors. This award helps fund tuition and books for seniors who demonstrate high achievement and who expect to graduate with a baccalaureate degree by the end of the upcoming academic year.
Amount: Up to $3,000 for the academic year

My name is Jordan Hansen. I am a husband, father of two, and currently serve in the Air National Guard while finishing my degree. I am a native of Everett, Washington, but have lived in the Indianapolis area since 2018. I am finishing a dual degree program with a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Psychology and a Bachelor of Education in Social Studies Secondary Education. I love to read, explore the outdoors, and work out. My family is my greatest accomplishment

2022 Austin Chirgwin
Austin Chirgwin is a junior in the Biomedical Engineering Department with a minor in mathematics. While fully engaged in his studies, he also volunteers on and off campus and participates in events and activities on campus and in the community, including playing intramural basketball, soccer, and volleyball. He was selected to join Tau Beta Pi because he is an engineering major with a high GPA.
Austin plans to continue working on or off campus to support himself through the last year of college, and, after he completes his bachelor’s degree, he plans to pursue graduate education in the medical field, most likely with the goal of becoming a physician assistant. He has chosen that career path because he wants to help people and, since he talented, hard-working, and successful in math and science, the combination of Engineering and Medicine makes not only sense but will provide opportunities for work and continued learning and success.
