Friday, November 7, 2025, 2 p.m. We are proud to announce that Susan Hyatt, Professor Emerita of Anthropology in the School of Liberal Arts, has been selected as the 2025 IU Indianapolis Last Lecturer. The campus-wide selection committee recognized Hyatt for her innovative, community-engaged teaching and research, which will be the centerpiece of her upcoming lecture. Throughout her career, Hyatt has fostered powerful collaborations between students and community members, working with Jewish and Black residents on Indianapolis's south side and leading transformative "Inside-Out" prison education programs that bring together campus and incarcerated students. A reception will follow just outside the theater. This event is co-sponsored by the IU Indianapolis Senior Academy, Office of Academic Affairs, and the IU Foundation.
